I looked at each space individually and together as a part of the whole, discovering which spaces must be adjacent in order to ensure a smooth transition throughout the kindergarten.

I then organized the spaces according to that rule set striving to achieve a continuous flow throughout. Each classroom has access to outdoor space, various academic spaces, bathrooms, and multifunctional gathering spaces.

The spaces predefined by the classroom module were then extracted, adjusted according to accommadate square footage requirements, and reassembled according to the above organizational diagrams. Two variations of the classroom space were used to capture as much natural light as possible. When possible, spaces were readjusted to orient the void in the space to the west. The voids represent areas vulnerable to perferation. The perferation will be reminiscent of the 'ornamentation' from earlier diagrammatic models and is capable of extending onto the roof condition pending further investigation of light and shadow at the site taking into consideration new and future development.
